The Delaware River,

The Delaware River,
I'm standing in Dorothy's back yard in front of the view I have painted so many times.

New Hope, Picnic on the River

New Hope, Picnic on the River
These photos are of my dear friends, Dorothy, Ruth & Ken. Ruth loves to spend time in the garden and has one of the most beautiful gardens in Bucks County. Artists come there just to paint it. We always get together for picnics on the river when I'm back in Bucks County. These are my most cherished times from those trips.

Dorothy

Dorothy
Dorothy is one of my best friends who I have known for years. She is a great artist and good critic for my work. I love spending time with Dorothy when I am back and I love to paint the views along the river.

Ken and Ruth

Ken and Ruth
I have been friends with Ken and Ruth for years. They and Dorothy are not only great friends but I consider them more like family. Ken and Ruth love art and I've enjoyed going to museums around the country with them. Some years ago they commissioned a landscape of a view on the Delaware as a gift for their daughter who now lives in England. I'm honored to know all of them.

Scullers on the Delaware

Scullers on the Delaware
This is one of the most beautiful views on the river at my favorite time of day. I have spent many hours painting here on days like this. It is so peaceful being here.

Painting in Venice

Painting in Venice
I love painting in Venice, the light there is spectacular. Here I am out on the balcony of our apartment in the early evening just as the sun was setting.

Sandro and Maria

Sandro and Maria
Sandro and Maria have been great friends in Venice. I met them over 20 years ago when I was there painting and have maintained a friendship over the years. Sandro has a barber shop with his son in law Mauro, in the Cannaregio section of Venice. Sandro has a good eye for art and a wonderful collection.
